Item Description

The famous Le Burg Mine in France was a contemporary powerhouse, producing some of the finest, largest display specimens of Fluorite from any European locality. This piece has no Fluorite, but it's equally valuable as it is a rarely seen SIDERITE from this famous locale. This piece features several sharp, highly compressed rhombohedral crystals of dark brown Siderite measuring up to 3.2 cm across associated with minor Smoky Quartz on matrix. The Siderites are in good shape, with no major damage that I can see. They are aesthetically flaring off the matrix as you can see. A really attractive and hard to find display quality specimen from his well-known mine in southern France.
