Item Description
Colorful and intricate, this beautiful pseudomorph is from the Turt Mine, an ancient Pb-Zn mine that started up again in 1973. The rust-red Siderite replaces a ball of Calcite, and from different angles you can appreciate the radial growth pattern and superb, detailed replacement. Really, it looks like a head of coral. Below this is the more classic, hollowed-out replacement seen at Turt, and everything rests on a matrix of sharply crystallized Pyrites. This great pseudo has excellent aesthetics and an unusually nice variation in forms.
