Aesthetically emplaced on etched, lustrous and translucent, pastel amethyst crystals are scalelenohedrons of siderite pseudomorphs (replacements) after calcite, to 1.7 cm across. Some of the pseudomorphs are doubly terminated, and all have great luster along with a rich tan color. The color contrasts are fascinating! Old material! from the David Stoudt collection
