Item Description
Gorgeous, sparkling crystals of siderite make this an unusually glittery specimen from this famous Romanian location. The siderite seems to be of two generations: a first generation which replaced the original calcite, and a later generation which added the sparkling overcoat. Hard to convey in photo or video, it is much better in person and hard to take your eyes off of. This is from the well known and important pseudomorph collection of Antwerp-based collector, Dr. Wouter Van Tichelen. It is a high quality, complete specimen of good size.
