Siderite ps. after Calcite (superb pseudomorph!)

FANTASTIC epimorph of Siderite after Calcite. The epimorphs follow the original forms of the Calcite very nicely, and looking into the hollow shell, there is a remarkable microcrystalline scaffolding spanning the space. The original hexagonal barrels of Calcite were significant in size, and there is nothing like them in Mindat for Romania. I will follow the labels as to the location being the famous Herja Mine. If this really is a 'one-off', it's amazing. Actually, it's amazing 'one-off' or not. Previously in the collections of Rendezo Iroda and Alfred Stevenson, it's a minor miracle that this great, small cabinet piece has survived the years.
