The Turt Mine is an ancient Pb-Zn mine, with modern mining staring in 1973. A classic and excellent pseudomorph from this well-known mine. Sparkly brown siderite has multiply pseudomorphed sharp, isolated calcite rhombs. The multiple thin layers of siderite on the hollow epimorphs are indeed striking. The matrix is splendent galena crystals and the quartz crystals on the edges are a nice accent. A very fine combination pseudo with superb aesthetics and sculptural quality from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued by Herb at $400, five or more years ago and worth it.
