Item Description

The Turt Mine is an ancient Pb-Zn mine, with modern mining staring in 1973. An outstanding and aesthetic epimorph from this well-known mine. Sparkly brown siderite has multiply pseudomorphed a striking, immaculately placed, 2.5 x 2.0 x 2.0 cm, sharp, calcite rhomb. The multiple thin layers of siderite on the hollow epimorphs are indeed striking. The matrix is smaller pseudos and siderite clusters with a very nifty overgrowth of glassy calcite rhombs. A very fine pseudo with superb aesthetics and sculptural quality from the Herb Obodda Collection # 3160. Value???
