Item Description
Well-crystallized siderite specimens are rare from this historic old Au-Ag-Fe-Sb mining district known since the Middle Ages (around 1200) until the late 1900s. The mines are now extinct. This is a very artistic triangular cluster of lustrous, moderately translucent, brownish-green, compound rhombs. Undoubtedly old-time material, but no proof. Ex Paterson Museum Collection. Never seen one for sale, and yet this compares favorably to lld and very valuable German material!
