An impressive and aesthetic, large, old-time combination plate from the historic mines at Freiberg. The striking, lustrous, stair-stepped, galena cubes, to 5.0 cm, are dramatically and preferentially coated with flattened, tan siderite rhombs. A sparkly second generation of drusy siderite covers many of the galena crystal faces. For all of the many mines in this famous district, combinations of this very high quality and size are rare.
