Item Description
A very showy and unusual Cavnic combination specimen with two forms of galena. Sparkly, brown, spherical clusters of tiny siderite rhombs preferentially coat the tabular, spinel-twinned, galena crystals (not pyrrhotite), which in turn rest on brilliant-metallic, galena cuboctahedrons. The matrix includes much bright golden chalcopyrite. This combination is rare from the famous and ancient mines at Cavnic. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
