Item Description

Two, sharp, lustrous, tan, interpenetrating, siderite rhombs (1.7 cm across) are very jauntily perched atop a striking, solid mounded jackstraw nest of pearlescent, gray-white, acicular to bladed, elpidite crystals. Elpidite is a relatively rare hydrated sodium zirconium silicate and this is a really good and rich one. This is a very fine specimen and showy combination specimen from the prolific Mt. St. Hilaire locality. Amazingly light weight for the size, at only 25 grams or less than an ounce! Ex Schlichter Collection.
