Item Description
A fascinating and striking combination miniature rarity from the Erongos. Siderite is RARE from here - BUT a 3.4 cm sharp and pristine brown rhomb partially sheathed in bright metallic hematite is dramatically perched atop a schorl/foitite crystal. The termination and part of the side of the schorl are probably composed of typical small rod-like crystals of foitite, a rare member of the Tourmaline Group. Correct identification is only possible by suitable analytical methods. A very artistic 360-degree combination rarity from the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
