Siderite (ex Rich Kosnar and Pat Gross Collections)

Item Description

There are hundreds of species that occur around the Franklin mining district, and even common species like Siderite are found in interesting micro specimen. This piece hosts many small (less than 1 mm), sharp, lustrous, brownish rhombic crystals of Siderite on matrix. The piece originally came from the collection of Pat Gross to Rich Kosnar in 1991. I have photographed Pat's hand-written labels on the lid and base of her cardboard micromount box.
