Item Description
A wonderful group of somewhat lenticular compressed Siderite crystals with a marked color zoning darker in the center and light-colored towards the edges aesthetically sitting on Pyrite matrix with minor Quartz. The crystals are compressed in habit, and almost form "rosettes" in areas. The largest crystal measures 1.7 cm. Great quality, very showy, and a good three-dimensional piece. The specimen comes to us from the collection of noted carbonate collector, Jim Robision, who acquired it from Jordi Fabre. Fabre's label says that the specimens was collected on Level 2 of the mine in 1980.
