Item Description

This famous old deep gold mine has produced some of the finest siderite specimens in the world and this is a rich and very showy small cabinet. Lustrous, glassy, translucent, tapered flattened greenish-yellow siderite rhombs are densely and aesthetically intergrown. The rhombs reach 2.0 cm and the specimen is pristine. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. The piece looks good from either direction.
