The area around Rapid Creek is only accessible for a few months in the summer for collecting (it's under snow and ice the rest of the year), and is some of the most treacherous terrain in the world for collecting specimens. This is a lovely display piece featuring good quality, sharp, well formed, rhombic, golden-brown Siderite crystals with a tiny bit of inky blue Lazulite and what I believe is a bit of bluish-green Gormanite (some of which are actually included with tiny Quartz crystals) on matrix. The largest Siderite crystal measures 6 mm. A nice overall specimen of this classic material.
