Item Description

Mined in 2001. This specimen is a very beautiful, aesthetic crystal group of good sized, dark greenish brown, sharp, highly modified compressed rhombohedra (sometimes referred to as "discs" or "saddle-shaped" crystals) of Siderite with minor Pyrite. I especially like the way the "discs" are stacked like poker chips. This is a displayable, aesthetic specimen, and certainly unusual for Bolivia, and for Siderite as a species. If you're a Bolivian mineral collector, be sure to pick to pick this up, as it came from a ONE TIME find at the Estano Orcko Mine, and will probably never be seen again.
