Item Description
This excellent combination specimen features a 1.6 cm, gemmy, dark cherry-red compound shigaite crystal well-placed in a large vug covered with very sparkly, transparent, rose-red rhodochrosite crystals, which are, in turn, sprinkled with gemmy, cherry-red, micro shigaite crystals. Shigaite is a rare hydrated manganese aluminum sulfate and this is a fairly large crystal cluster. Ex Charlie Key Collection, a noted South Africa/Namibia collector. Valued at $2000.
