Item Description
This specimen has a very fine, .6 cm hexagonal crystal of the rare aluminum manganese sulfate, Shigaite. The Shigaite is gemmy and has a deep fiery red color. The luster is excellent, and it rests on a matrix of Rhodochrosite and Caryopolite. There are numerous, tiny Shigaites spread throughout the specimen. An excellent combination piece, centered on a sharp and isolated, dominant Shigaite. valued $750
