Item Description
Shigaite is a rare aluminum manganese sulfate that is only found in five areas of the world, among them the Kalahari manganese fields. The hexagonal blades, which are up to about 3 mm across here, have a superb luster that almost glows with a metallic yellow fire. The Shigaite is associated with fine blades of Hematite or a replacement of some similar species (pyroaurite has been also suggested).
