Shattuckite with Malachite on Quartz (ex Charlie Key Collection)

A superb combination featuring velvety botryoids of gorgeous steel blue Shattuckite which are associated with a prismatic crystal (with a slightly "hairy" termination) of deep forest green primary Malachite sitting in a vug of massive grey Smoky Quartz. The Shattuckite "balls" on the outer edge of the vug are not 100% complete, though they do show good botryoidal form, but the "balls" in the center of the vug are pristine and beautiful. This material is hard to find on the market and certainly worth picking up now that the area seems to be producing very little. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most successful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite). Priced at $1,200 in the inventory.
