Shattuckite (rare) with Quartz (ex Charlie Key Collection)

Fine rich cyan blue colored Shattuckite sitting atop and included within Quartz crystals from the Kaokoveld Plateau. The quality is good and this piece would make a nice addition to a miniature suite or a collection of secondary copper minerals. If you look closely, you can see there are small well-formed Quartz crystals on the piece that are completely included with Shattuckite - they remind of the similar looking Quartz crystals with rich blue Papagoite inclusions from the Messina Mine in South Africa. This material is hard to find on the market and certainly worth picking up now that the area seems to be producing very little. Ex Charlie Key personal collection. Charlie is arguably the most sucessful dealer of the second half of the 20th century, along with being the namesake for TWO mineral species (Keyite and Ludlockite).
