Item Description
Shattuckite is a fairly rare copper silicate species, and it was only within the last 10-15 years that the world's supply of specimens has been bolstered. This piece is a beautiful example from the Shangulowé Mine, and features attractive medium blue colored "velvety" radiating aggregates measuring up to about 1.3 cm across, with minor attached matrix. Good condition overall, though the periphery is contacted where it was separated from the pocket wall. It's a good example of a species that is not often seen in fine quality display specimens.
