Shattuckite, Primary Malachite, Quartz, and Plancheite

Enchanting and complex specimen from the famous Kaokoveld Plateau. This small cabinet piece is Quartz completely coated by blue Shattuckite, which ranges from a thin layer to many dozens of 2 mm balls. These are coated by drusy Quartz, creating a cool, wintry look. There are also individual small Quartz crystals, some of which are included by Shattuckite, so things were growing at all different times. Of course, no great Kaokoveld combination piece would be complete without at least one good Primary Malachite crystal. In this case, the largest Primary Malachite is a lustrous, deep green crystal 1.6 x 2 cm. Lovely and aesthetic, this a fine Kaokoveld piece.
