Item Description
Superb Shattuckite and Primary Malachite specimen from perhaps the world's premier locality: Kaokoveld. The U-shaped, cavern-like pocket winds it way through the Smoky Quartz matrix for 14 cm, and it is lined with the absolute best velvety, deep-blue Shattuckite. Centered in the main room of the 'cavern' is a single, shiny Primary Malachite that is almost 3 cm long. The faces of the Malachite are deep green and lustrous, and the termination has a secondary micro coating of Malachite that shimmers Kelly green. Within the botryoids of the Shattuckite crust, there are crystal growths of secondary Quartz. One particularly fine, exposed 'rosette' is about .8 cm in size, with lustrous gemmy Quartz crystals. This is a fantastic large cabinet piece, with incredible aesthetics. Even better in person. Anything less than $2,000 for this would be a bargain.
