Item Description
Kaokoveld Shattuckite has become famous for the species, and this distinctive piece stands out for the more unusual presentation of the Shattuckite. Most often, it is found as a beautiful, velvety crust associated with other minerals. Here, the Shattuckite grew in over a dozen discrete balls up to about .8 cm across, nearly filling up a 3.5 cm long Quartz pocket. Each ball is coated with drusy Quartz, creating a very attractive 'blue-snowball' effect. One Shattuckite even has a .6 cm mushroom of Primary Malachite on it. Unusual, very aesthetic, and even better in person.
