Item Description

Shattuckite is an uncommon copper silicate named after the Type Locality Shattuck Mine at Bisbee. The sculptural matrix of smoky quartz is covered with pretty powder-blue, banded shattuckite and is overlain with dark sky-blue shattuckite botryoids with a very sparkly overgrowth of drusy quarz. The contacting reveals the smoky quartz and banded shattuckite, which is a very nice contrast and actually enhances the visual appeal of this excellent specimen from the Charlie Key dealer stock. Highly representative combination material from this find. The architecture and colors of the shattuckite and smoky quartz are beautiful.
