Item Description
Shattuckite is an uncommon copper silicate named after the Type Locality Shattuck Mine at Bisbee. A sculptural vug is lined with pretty powder-blue, banded shattuckite and is filled with starkly contrasting, darker blue shattuckite botryoids. This is one of the few specimens where drusy quartz does not coat the botryoids. The vug sits in massive, smoky quartz, which is a very nice contrast to this showy and excellent specimen from the Charlie Key dealer stock. Highly representative combination material from this find. The architecture and contrasting color of the vug and smoky quartz is beautiful.
