Shattuckite included Quartz on Chrysocolla (rare material)

Item Description

While the Milpillas Mine is famous for its world-class Azurites, there are lot of interesting minerals from this mine including some very limited specimens of Shattuckite that were found in early 2019. This piece features a layer of sharp, lustrous, hexagonal, colorless Quartz crystals which are included with intense deep blue colored Shattuckite sitting on a layer of medium blue colored Chrysocolla. It's reminiscent of certain specimens from the Kaokoveld Plateau in Namibia but I bought this piece directly from a friend in Mexico who got it at the Milpillas Mine, so I know it's genuine. A cool novelty for any fan of secondary ore mineral, copper bearing species or if you have a suite of minerals from Milpillas.
