Shattuckite included in quartz is RARE compared to normally seen quartz coating shattuckite from the Kaokoveld. This sculptural and exceptionally well-prepared combination has everything going for it. Rich sky-blue shattuckite is included in the glassy quartz walls of the curved vug. A striking 2.5 cm spray of primary malachite needles dominates the lower left of the piece. Gemmy emerald-green dioptase crystals richly cover the walls, many with a beautiful secondary overgrowth of sparkly drusy quartz crystals. The well-placed large dioptase on the bottom right is 1.0 cm. The base has been sawed to enhance the striking display quality on this outstanding and rare combination from the Charlie Key Collection. The piece looks like an emerald crystal lined blue cavern wall! Fairly valued at $1500 for rarity, aesthetics and fine combination quality.
