Item Description

These now classic Shattuckites from the Kaokoveld Plateau are among the finest examples of the species ever found. This piece is a wonderful example of these famous pieces featuring spherical group of attractive medium blue Shattuckite measuring up to about 5 mm across, and free of matrix. Very good quality on the both the front and back, with minor damage. A showy and aesthetic example of these now seldom seen specimens from this famous discovery. From the collection of Richard Rossi, an East Coast collector and longtime Fellow and supporter of the Mineralogical Record and the community.
