Shattuckite, Dioptase, and Primary Malachite

Sometimes there is aesthetic, and sometimes there is aesthetic as hell, which summarizes this piece. This spectacular miniature centers on a fantastic 4 cm spray of primary Malachite attached to a plate of sky blue Shattuckite. At the top of the specimen, the Shattuckite wraps around and forms a lovely 1 cm ball. But the striking part is that around the equator of this sphere is a ring of lustrous, 2 mm Dioptase crystals that looks for all the world (literally) like the old Universal Studios logo. Each species is this miniature is excellent, and together they combine to make an absolute killer. The pics are good, the piece is even better.
