Item Description
Shattuckite is an uncommon copper silicate named after the Type Locality Shattuck Mine at Bisbee. A sculptural vug is lined with a striking diverging spray of highly lustrous and chatoyant, light and dark green primary malachite blades and very pretty cornflower-blue, botryoidal and banded shattuckite. Some of the shattuckite is very sparkly with an overcoat of quartz. Two sides have been sawed to enhance the display quality of this showy and excellent specimen from the Charlie Key dealer stock. The malachite spray against the shattuckite is dramatic and eyecatching. Very highly representative and excellent combination material from this find.
