Shattuckite

Item Description

A classic "velvety" thin plate of classic Shattuckite from the famous copper producing region in the Kaokoveld. The piece is almost a "crust" and there is no attached matrix, but it's still sturdy and beautifully crystallized. Under magnification, one can see the spectacular radiating like groups of attractive blue Shattuckite. This mineral is not found in well-crystallized specimens, and the Namibian material is among the best and most well known Shattuckites in the world.
