Item Description

Beautiful powder-blue velvety to nubby shattuckite botryoids form a very sculptural crust on this showy specimen from a 2014 find a this closed well-known Katanga copper mine. Shattuckite is a rare secondary copper silicate and this is a good one with fine form. The periphery wear shows the striking radial growth of the lathes in the botryoids, adding pizzazz.
