Item Description
A facinating and quite distinctive specimen of soft, VELVET-like, powder-blue shattuckite coating indigo-blue, banded shattuckite. The powder-blue shattuckite, rather than growing in the more usual velvety-ball habit, grows here in a 1 mm crust that covers much of the very vuggy brecciated matrix. Robins egg-blue chrysocolla coats many of the breccia fragments, adding even more pizzazz. That very breccia, broken in angular pieces, is reflected in the very unusual, and very aesthetic, look to the piece. We have had very few shattuckites with chrysocolla with this appearance. It is quite eye-catching, remarkable and different. Valued $600-750. Charlie Key dealer stock.
