Item Description
A pristine, very sharp, 2.8 cm, colorless, translucent, trapezohedral pollucite crystal with frosted faces is aesthetically set on partial pollucite crystal on this outstanding miniature from the Shigar Valley. Pollucite is a rare cesium Zeolite Group mineral and is unusually usually found in granite pegmatites, not igneous deposits, like most Zeolites. It is related to Analcime and looks like a fine crystal of that species. Pristine, 360-degree crystals of this quality are RARE and very desirable. It is one of the few facettable Zeolite Group species, with a hardnes of 6.5. Exceptional material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $950, over seven years ago. It is worth more today.
