Sharply crystallized krohnkite is EXTREMELY RARE. Nearly all specimens are elongated fibrous masses. This superb old-time thumbnail of this rare hydrated Na-Cu sulfate is from the famous Type Locality, the immense open pit Chuquicamata Mine of Chile (early to mid 1900s). Two sharp, intergrown translucent, rich turquoise-blue crystals comprise this outstanding and aesthetic cutie. Valued at $500-600 as a superb thumbnail example of the species.
