Item Description
Two intergrown, highly modified carrollite cuboctahedrons form a striking and sculptural thumbnail from New Finds at this well-known locale. The splendent silver-metallic crystals have remarkable form and the superb silver-metallic lustre that is characteristic of this rare Cu-Co-Ni sulfosalt. The striated faces add much pizzazz. This very fine 360-degree thumbnail is in fine shape. Trivial bruising is noted to a few corners and two corners are dinged. However, the correct display on several sides eliminates nearly all of the bruising. This new find resets the modern standard! The size, high quality and form still rate this as an exceptional thumbnail specimen. Here is your chance to obtain a very fine compound carrollite thumbnail at a very reasonable price point. Valued at $500-600.
