Item Description
A sharp, silvery-bright, carrollite octaehdron is aesthetically set on calcite rhombs on this very showy and excellent matrix specimen from one of the famous mines in Katanga. The crystal is 1.3 x 1.2 x 1.1 cm. The octo has gentle bruising on one corner, but overall is in great shape. Good matrix carrollites, such as this, are not very common - usually they are in massive, ugly calcite or rock. NOTE THIS IS OLDER MATERIAL, AND RECOGNIZABLY SO....not the modern material from around 2000-ish finds.
