Item Description
A really cool association specimen from the zinc and slag dumps called "Bleyberg" in Belgium. The piece features bright blue Serpierite along with electric blue Linarite and white Gypsum crystals plus minor green Brochantite and pale blue Chalcoalumite along with minor golden orange Jarosite. We shot the close ups with a Canon MP-E 65mm lens, and the crystals look even more impressive under the microscope. The piece comes from the collection of Allen Heyl, a geologist and family friend of the Kosnars for whom the species Aheylite was named.
