Item Description

Serpierite is hydrated calcium, copper, zinc sulfate and this very showy and rich specimen is from the Type Locality - the Serpieri Mine at Laurium, Greece. Beautiful, sky-blue, radial clusters of serpierite micro-needles are richly scattered in the vug lined with starkly contrasting, blue-gray, smithsonite botryoids. Excellent material from the Bill Pinch Collection, a noted rarities collector.
