Semseyite with Fizelyite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A beautiful specimen of lustrous metallic, deep grey color radial "rosettes" of Semseyite with associated prismatic steel-grey Fizelyite set on matrix from the famous Herja Mine in Romania. The quality is excellent up close as the Semseyites are notably sharp and well-formed, and the Fizelyites are just as attractive! This is a GOOD one for what it is folks, especially becuase the crystals are distinct, and not dull and washed out like many I've seen from this locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4677). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
