Item Description

Sellaite is a rare Mg-halide found in evaporites, volcanic ejecta and fumeroles, marble, magnesites, alkalic granite. It is well-known from this historic locale, started in 1726 (MINDAT). Radial clusters of acicular crystals and massive sellaite compose most this this very rich and excellent example from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Specimens of this quality and richness are uncommon.
