Item Description

An amazingly sculptural, sharply crystallized, large copper from Copper Country. This striking, elongated piece looks like a seahorse with a bent, spinel-twinned "tail"! The head with nose and ears are clearly evident. The overall arborescent form is composed of large spinel-twins or massive copper dramatically accented with attachments of sharp tetrahexahedral crystals, many modified. The piece has a fine, lustrous, copper patina. An outstanding and pristine old-time floater from the Seaman Museum. Fairly valued at $2000.
