Here is an exceptional combination specimen of super colorful minerals that are also crazy rare, from this amazing locality that has produced a plethora of rare and relatively common secondary mineral species. This awesome piece features numerous, super lustrous, translucent, brilliant blue Scorodite crystals along with a large patch of vibrant lemon-yellow, riveting Queitite microcrystals! The lustrous blue Scorodite crystals display prominently in the central area of this piece as relatively well-formed singles and groups to 1.5cm on a sparkling matrix of brilliant brown-black Beudantite. Matrix specimens of Scorodite like this are extremely uncommon especially is association with colorful rare species like Queitite. Queitite is a very rare lead-zinc sulfate-silicate and Tsumeb is the Type Locality for the species. This is one of those treasures of the large Pohl collection, the ultra rare and important things mixed in with the more pedestrian species, that makes this hoard the largest and most important overall stash of Tsumeb mineralogy in private hands.
