Item Description

From the historic find in 2008 at the Baishiding Mine in China. Scorodite is not known from any world localities in superb specimens, but when these pieces hit the market, they gave collectors a chance to get their hands on a species that we don't see too often. This piece is significant becuase it's a full cabinet, which one rarely sees in a Scorodite specimen, and it's absolutely LOADED with crystals as they are covering both the front and back of the piece. You can see there are hundreds of sharp, lustrous sparkling Scorodite crystals measuring up about 3 mm with Pyrite on matrix. Most of the Scorodites have that classic, beautiful steel blue color, and are fairly translucent when backlit. You have to look closely, but virtually every one of these little Scorodites are very well crystallized! If you like cabinet sized display pieces, don't miss out on this fantastic specimen of a rare and colorful species from what was a very limited find in China. Priced in the inventory at $1,800.
