Scorodite (rare)

Item Description

From the recent find a few years ago in China, this piece is loaded with hundreds of sparkling micro Scorodite crystals which vary in color from a metallic blue hue to a slight greenish-blue to a coffee color. The crystals are translucent to gemmy with good luster, and are associated with minor Pyrite on matrix. Upon close inspection, one can see that these Scorodites are very well crystallized despite their size. I have photographed the crystals under the microscope to better illustrate their quality. This find in the Hezhou area is the only significant find of Scorodite to hit the market in a long time. Since the initial discovery of this material, very little has been seen on the market. Valued at $950.
