Item Description

This is a stunning, superior quality Scorodite thumbnail specimen from the Tsumeb Mine. There is one large, lustrous, intense blue-green Scorodite crystal that is mostly complete along with a very well formed and complete, super lustrous and gemmy Scorodite crystal to nearly 1 cm growing out of the side of the larger crystal. These are very scarce on the market, and they represent one of the most desired Tsumeb rarities that were collected almost 50 years ago. The superb color, form and glassy luster combine to make this pair of Scorodite crystals a killer thumbnail. The big crystal is complete on the front and contacted on the backside and the smaller, sidecar gem crystal is complete all around. Not often will you find gemmy Scorodite crystals from Tsumeb that match this quality. This is a significant specimen of this beautiful rarity. Such pieces usually are priced in the $1500-2500 range.
