Item Description

Large, very impressive single crystal of Schorl, with lustrous, striated sides and the famous trigonal (Mercedes) termination. The termination is 7 cm wide! Associated with this Schorl are a few Smoky Quartz crystals and a thin layer of highly-fluorescent Hyalite Opal. Naturally, there is contacting, but it does not affect the presentation face or the superb termination. A Schorl among Schorls even from this rich deposit. Valued $750-1000.
